Achari Paneer

Paneer_Achari_When soft and fresh cottage cheese is stirred in a mixture of scrumptious as well as authentic Indian spices, curd and a pinch of flour, it results in the mouth-watering and tantalizing dish called Achari Paneer. Follow these simple steps to cook Achari Paneer at your home, without any difficulty.

 

Ingredients

Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Cubes – 1 cup

Fresh Curd (Dahi) – 3/4 cup

Plain Flour (Maida) – 1 tsp

Fenugreek (Methi) Seeds – 5 to 6

Fennel Seeds (Saunf) – 1 tsp

Nigella Seeds (Kalonji) – 1 tsp

Mustard Seeds (Rai/Sarson) – 1/4 tsp

Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1/2 tsp

Asafoetida (Hing) – 1/2 tsp

Chopped Coriander (Dhania) – 3 tbsp

Onions (Thinly sliced) – 1/2 cup

Turmeric Powder (Haldi) – 1/2 tsp

Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp

Black Salt – 1/2 tsp

Oil – 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

 

Method

  • Take a bowl and put fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, nigella seeds, and asafoetida into it. Mix all these ingredients together well.
  • Heat oil in another pan and add the seed mixture into it.
  • Heat the seeds till they crackle. Then add onion and sauté till it turns translucent.
  • Now put paneer into the mixture and add chilli powder, turmeric, black salt into it.
  • Stir it for some time.
  • Now add curd and sprinkle plain flour on the dish. Mix the dish well.
  • Put coriander and salt to the Achari Paneer and let it boil.

 

Delicious Achari Paneer is ready to be served!
