Mother – The First Teacher of a Child

Thank You MomIt is truly said that when life wanted to bless you, he gave you your first teacher. But who actually do you think your first teacher is? Yes, you have got it right. It’s your mother! Home is a child’s first school and the mother his/her first teacher. The first thing a child learns is to trust the reliability of his mother’s teachings, without the need for constant checking. The learning starts in the mother’s womb itself and from the very moment of the new arrival, the role of motherhood emphasizes the nurturing and teaching of the next generation.

A mother teaches you the core values of life such as finding a way to tell the truth and encourages you to take on a challenge. But, the most important thing that she teaches you is the acceptance of authority which makes it easier for you to learn the further practical lessons of life. Now, when we talk about the practical lessons in life, the first thing that must strike your mind is that one teacher who perhaps showed you your dream in the midst of nightmares.

The same faces of the same coin!

It is true that mother and teacher both play a vital role in the child’s development; however, the difference is that a mother is responsible for the best upbringing of her child but the personal development of everyone else’s child comes under the responsibility of a teacher. So, if you are successful and have learnt the lessons for lifetime, thank that one teacher who has changed your life.

Aristotle said: “Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, the art of living well.”

This quote in itself defines the significance of a good teacher in a child’s life. Like a mother, the influences of a teacher can also be seen in the ways a child conducts himself or herself in the different walks of life.

Motherhood

Thanks for all your guidance !

Different countries have different reasons to celebrate the teacher’s day, but when we talk about India, teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th of September which is the birthday of the second president of India, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a noted philosopher and teacher.

On this auspicious occasion, children dress up as teachers and take lectures in classes imitating the teacher s they represent. Also functions are organized with different dance performance, dramas, etc., where the students take the pleasure to thank these beacons of light and make them feel that their efforts are being recognized.

Teachers Day-

The dream begins with a great teacher!

“The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called ‘truth’.”- Dan Rather can be better tuned into “the dream begins with a great teacher.” To realize your dreams and the right way to achieve it, a great teacher plays the most significant role, whether it is in the form of your mothers who have been super achievers or that one teacher who has changed your life.

Teachers Day

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”- William Arthur Ward.
