If the wound is caused by a rusted metal or iron, then it is essential to take a tetanus injection immediately.
Minor burns: Submerge the affected area in cold water till the pain reduces and this can take about 15 to 20 minutes. This will reduce the damage done to the tissue. In case of unbroken blisters, it should be covered by dry dressing and should not be pricked or broken. If the skin is broken or there are large blisters, then take your child to the doctor.
Head injuries: Minor bumps or knocks should be immediately treated with cold water or ice compress. In case your child becomes unconscious, is confused or drowsy or vomits, then seek immediate advice from the doctor.

If there is an allergic reaction or a breathing problem or a full body rash then seek emergency medical help immediately.
Sunburn: If your child suffers from sunburn or have rashes due to heat, then cool the burnt skin with cold water and apply after sun lotion. Paracetamol or similar medication may be helpful in reducing the discomfort and soreness.
Nose bleeding: In case your child is suffering from nose bleeding, then help your kid sit straight with the head leaning forward and then gently press the nose for some time. Don’t press too hard as this can cause breathing difficulty. If the bleeding doesn’t stop and continues for more than 10 minutes, then call a doctor.
Sprains: Lift the affected limb and apply cold compress with ice cubes wrapped in a hanky for 15 to 20 minutes. Then tie a compression bandage to ease the strain and allow the limb to rest. It may take a few weeks to recover completely.
